About This Position
This Research Assistant position is funded through the prestigious International Science Partnership Fund (ISPF) Programme 2025, a bilateral initiative supported by the British Council and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia.
Tentang Posisi Ini
Development and integration of an advanced GIS, MCDA, NLP framework to support sustainable solar energy planning in Indonesia. The position focuses on enabling biodiversity protection and reducing rural energy poverty through data-driven spatial decision support.
Tanggung Jawab Utama
- Develop and maintain GIS-MCDA platform for solar site selection
- Implement sentiment analysis using NLP on community feedback
- Process satellite data and spatial datasets
- Collaborate with stakeholders (government, PLN, communities)
- Co-author scientific publications
- Support capacity building and training activities
Kualifikasi & Persyaratan
- Master's or Doctoral degree (or equivalent industrial experience)
- Experience in Geospatial Data Science with GIS and/or MCDA
- Knowledge in AI, Machine Learning, or Natural Language Processing
- Strong programming skills (Python, R, or similar)
- English proficiency (written and spoken)
- Ability to work in cross-cultural, international teams
